Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 26, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Trustume by EPSoft ('we,' 'our,' or 'us'). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you visit https://trustume.com or use our services. This policy applies to users in the United States and India. We are committed to protecting your privacy in alignment with leading industry standards, including the Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) framework, which focuses on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
2. Information We Collect and Methods of Collection
We collect specific professional and company information to facilitate our platform's services. We collect this data primarily through three methods: when you complete the Sign-Up form, when you submit a Contact Form, and when you submit a Get a Demo form. The information collected includes your name, work email address, company name, company location, and company strength. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, failure to provide consent may limit your ability to access certain features or services on the platform.
3. Data Collection from Different Sources (Verification)
In addition to the information you provide directly, we also gather information from different sources to facilitate employment verification. When a job seeker provides a reference contact, our system automatically triggers an email to that reference to verify the provided employment details. This means we process data originating from third-party references to validate the integrity of the profiles on our platform.
4. Purpose and Usage of Data
The information we collect is strictly used to provide, maintain, and improve the Trustume platform and its directly connected activities. Your details help us communicate with you, process your demo requests, manage your account, conduct employment verifications, and tailor our services to your company's needs. We do not use your personal data for any unrelated secondary purposes.
5. Explicit Consent
We rely on your explicit consent to process your personal data. When you interact with our Sign-Up, Get a Demo, or Contact forms, you will be required to check a dedicated consent box before submitting your information. This affirmative action ensures you explicitly agree to our data collection practices and this Privacy Policy.
6. Data Storage and Cloud Infrastructure
We store your personal data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), a secure and reliable cloud infrastructure provider. By creating an account, you explicitly consent to the storage and processing of your personal data on GCP. We ensure that our cloud providers maintain industry-standard security measures and data protection protocols.
7. Third-Party Disclosures
To operate our platform efficiently, we utilize select third-party sub-processors and tools. These include AI tools (such as ChatGPT and DeepSeek) for platform functionalities, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for user communication, and analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. We strictly limit the data shared with these parties to what is necessary for their function. We explicitly do not sell your personal data to Google Analytics or any other third-party provider.
8. Security Practices
We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our security practices include basic data encryption for data in transit and at rest.
9. Data Retention, Deletion, and Destruction Process
We retain the personal data of signed-up users for as long as you maintain an active account with us. Upon your request to delete your account, we will initiate a complete destruction process. Your personal data, including historical records, profile documents, and company information, will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our active database and from GCP within 72 hours of the request. For more information about Account Deletion, please visit this link: https://trustume.com/account-deletion
10. Data Editing and User Controls
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your personal information. Users can independently edit their data—including their email address, contact name, and reference contacts—by logging into their account and navigating to the profile page. Please note that we do not entertain manual data editing requests submitted via email or support tickets; all edits must be managed by the user directly through the platform interface.
11. Data Subject Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal information. Users can execute most of these rights directly through their profile dashboard.
12. US-Specific Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you reside in California or other US states with active privacy laws, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. You have the right to request access to the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you and the right to request the deletion of your personal information. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as valid opt-out requests where required by state law.
13. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal data for monetary gain. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the definition of 'sale' or 'sharing' can include using third-party tracking cookies for targeted advertising. You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. We strictly limit the usage of your data to Trustume's core operations and do not sell your data to any data brokers or analytics providers.
